"Amy is simply the best.  She is easy and fun to work with, organized and proactive, and plans the most amazing vacations where you don’t have to worry about a thing.  She’s planned multiple trips for us, and I’m always pleasantly surprised by the awesome perks she’s able to get.  She’s extremely well-traveled and connected, which means she won’t steer you wrong.   Plus, hiring her takes all the stress and worry out of the planning process.  Highly recommend her!" -Meredith & Todd

"My husband and I love to travel, but we are always looking for ideas.  Whether it's a family vacation or a couples weekend getaway, I can’t say enough about the great job Amy has done planning our travel.  With Amy’s guidance we have gone to Europe over Christmas (Switzerland and Austria), the Canadian Rockies in the summer (Banff & Jasper), Skiing in the winter (Breckenridge Co.), golfing in the Fall (The Homestead VA) and Mexico (Cancun) in the Spring for some fun in the sun.  All have been great, well organized trips.  We were able to leave our worries at home.  Not only did Amy handle the obvious, with flights and accommodations, but she assisted with meal planning, guided tours, ski rentals and everything in between.  If you’re looking for a  great travel experience, look no further. "Amy planned a 10 day, whirlwind bucket list trip for my wife and I touring multiple stops in Italy.  Via a wonderful food tour, Amy helped us navigate Pizza, Pasta, and Piazzas all through Rome. Like all of Italy for us - Rome was unique - history, ruins, art for days.  We navigated via train to Naples, a local guided stop in the amazing Pompeii en route to our stay in Sorrento.  We both highly recommend the Hilton Sorrento Palace that Amy selected.  From Sorrento, we went up and down the Amalfi coast, with a visit to the unbelievable Capri (including the Blue Grotto!).  All of the Amalfi coast is on our list to return - photos cannot do it justice..  We had a private driver take us from Sorrento to Amalfi and back.  Scenery was unreal.  Via Train (effortless, thanks to Amy!) we travelled north to Tuscany.  My wife simply said - "Amy, I want to stay in Tuscany, open the shutters and see vineyards."  We stayed in a small historic monastery with a Michelin restaurant.  From these accommodations we enjoyed a wine tasting (lasagna so good it brought tears to my eyes!), and a private tour of Siena.  Tours and stops were exactly what we were looking for.  Quick (too short - we will be back), stop in Florence - private guided tour of Ufizi gallery and onto our final stop in Venice.

In Venice - gondola rides, St mark's square, food/drink tour and sightseeing rounded out our amazing time.  The details Amy handled (transfers, timings, drivers, accommodations, tours, etc) gave us the time to take in the sights and not worry about our next steps!" -Jamie & Diane

"We cannot say enough wonderful things about Amy and the fabulous trips she’s planned over the years for our family!  Italy, Ireland, England and Washington, DC:  each trip was wonderfully organized with great hotels, drivers and tour guides.  Every hotel was top notch with great locations, fabulous ambiance and courteous, helpful staff.  The drivers were always friendly, safe and punctual.  The tour guides are always amazing and very knowledgeable and well suited to the tour.  For example, our tour guide in Florence was an art history professor!  On our trip to Italy, Amy arranged two food tours for us (you just have to do this in Italy!!) – one in Rome and one in Bologna.  They were amazing!  The next time you travel, you must give Amy a call!!"

"How do I begin to describe what an incredible 25th anniversary trip Amy Rectenwald planned for us?  I will start by saying Amy flawlessly switched gears when the pandemic changed our itinerary from Italy to New England.

We began our journey in Newport, Rhode Island where Amy arranged for us to stay at the beautiful Brenton Hotel.  We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and a thoughtful note compliments of Amy,  She made us feel so special.

Our room was lovely and we had a gorgeous view of the water.  The White Horse Tavern for drinks and Clark Cooke House for dinner were outstanding recommendations.  Amy took care of all of our dinner reservations and she always made the restaurants aware that we were celebrating our anniversary.  We received so many complimentary drinks and desserts thanks to Amy.

Before heading to Chatham, Massachusetts, we went on the Newport Cliff Walk.  The views were absolutely spectacular!  So happy Amy suggested we check out the walk.  Once we arrived at Chatham Bars Inn,  we were pleasantly surprised to learn that Amy upgraded our room to a spa suite complete with fireplace, jacuzzi and sauna.  Again, we were greeted with a congratulatory note,  bottle of champagne and fruit plate. We felt like royalty!

Amy’s restaurant recommendations, which included The Chatham Squire,

Wild Goose Tavern, Del Mar Bar and Bistro and Stars, were spot on.

Our next destination was Nantucket.  Amy booked us a two night stay at White Elephant.  What a treat!   We could access the waterfront from the front porch of our room.  After our bike ride to Sankaty Head Lighthouse, we returned to our room to find champagne and the most amazing chocolate cake we have ever tasted.  Perfection!

Once again, Amy’s restaurant choices were superb.  We enjoyed lunches at Brotherhood of Thieves and Cisco Brewers where we took in the fall foliage and great music.  Topper’s at the Wauwinet and Company of the Cauldron took our dining experiences to a whole new level.  Just when we thought things could not get any better, they did!

Next we travelled to Ogunquit, Maine where we hiked the Marginal Way Walkway.  There were such gorgeous views and a picture perfect sunset.  Amy made reservations for us that night at MC Perkins Cove.  Our table overlooked the water and the food was exceptional.

That night we stayed at Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.  We awoke to breathtaking views and headed to Portland, Maine to catch the ferry to Peaks Island.  A golf cart was a wonderful way to take in the sights which concluded at the Shipyard Brewing Company for lunch.  The evening was highlighted by yet another one of Amy’s tremendous recommendations at Boone’s Fish House and Oyster Room.

We are so grateful that our friend Lisa referred us to Amy.  She is a travel advisor who goes above and beyond to provide an epic travel experience of a lifetime.  Looking forward to working with her again very soon!" - Barbara & Nick
